The Tripleheader

May 1, 2007

Monday’s three games that meant more than just a box score…

Blue Jays defeat Rangers as John Gibbons wants Roy Halladay’s arm to snap off. Halladay has started six games and gone the distance in two (the first was 10 innings). I know he’s a badass, but if the Jays are serious about the postseason, they have to start saving their best player.

Tigers almost throw down with Orioles. First Gary Sheffield got hit, and then Miggy Tejada got one under the feet (And we were thisclose to a fight). Sadly, Sheff’ decided to hit a homer in bottom half of the inning instead.

Dodgers caught in Arizona’s Webb.
Brandon Webb got plenty of support but only needed two as he allowed one run in seven innings. It is the sixth consecutive win for the Diamondbacks, who now lead LA by .5 games at the top of the NL West.
