ESPN/ABC news released the results of a poll they conducted that found that only 28 percent of white baseball fans want to see Bonds break the home run record, while 74 percent of black baseball fans are rooting for Bonds to break Hank Aaron’s mark of 755. Hammerin’ Hank said that he will not be in attendance when his record is broken, and Bud Selig is still unsure if he will be there.
Boycott 756 has gotten on the anti-Barry bandwagon as well. If you are someone who believes that Bonds is guilty of steroids, and wish the record would be retained by Hammerin’ Hank, you should head over to Boycott 756 and help the cause. If you believe that Bonds is innocent, or you think he deserves the record regardless, you should hope that someone with your views catches number 756. Maybe we will all get lucky and Barry will just hit number 756 against the Cubbies at Wrigley.
