I’m not really familiar with what the NBA is because I live in the classiest of suburbs, but apparently officials within this mysterious organization want to charge its fans $3 to download basketball games. Yeah, I said it…three bone.
In addition to single games — which come free of commercials or timeouts, and which feature league announcers — fans can download an entire series for $13, or all playoff games for $80. The average game length is a little under two hours.
It’s like Christmas in May! Except wait…isn’t the NBA’s fan base largely urban? Do they have high speed internet access in the ‘hood? Oh well, at least NBA fans in Salt Lake City can put their expendable income to use.
Personally, I’d rather eat shit. Or even watch “The Notebook” with an emotional girlfriend and a wet shoulder. Yeah I just wrote that. Watching Carlos Boozer bring down 20 boards is far less appealing than watching Rachel McAdams doing the sexy in the rain.
You…complete me.
